Avelin, a queen among owls, was a protector of the forest. In time she grew restless, for she did too well, and nothing about the forest ever changed - nothing entered, nothing left. Avelin ventured to the outskirts of her forest and discovered that a small human home existed beyond her bounds. A young man lived there and worked everyday to study the plants of the edge of the forest. She watched him, and began protecting him. She was in love with his determination for knowledge. Unfortunately, she had begun neglecting her duty in favor of watching the man, and a fire started. Her forest began destroying itself. Avelin had weakened from the loss of plant life, and could no longer save the forest. Using the last of her energy she took the form of a human to appear before the man she loved for the first and last time. He would remember this encounter as the day he met a dying angel.

When she walked through the door, she was as elegant and sweet as the colorful lights on the tree. She brought joy to all the children as she handed them each a small present. Glancing toward the night sky through a large window, she discreetly winked. All enjoyed the company of this sweet lady.

Alice's return down the rabbit hole paved the way for her increasing madness for fashion. She took the role of the mad hatter, and discussed vintage looks and haute couture over high tea. The clock always read tea time.

From the tower, she dreamt of walking casually through the cobblestone streets with the man she loved, or sitting cozily next to a fireplace, coffee in hand. She wanted the warmth that contrasted the coldness of the castle, but she could only reach it in her dreams.

When the blinding lights of the sunset had ceased their intense glare in his eyes, he saw the glints of tiny stars that wrapped around her gentle frame. She stepped closer and he could see that galaxies could have been made in her image. She was otherworldly as she kissed him goodbye.

She stood on the edge of the road, staring off at the lights glittering between the flurries that turned in the wind. Her heart melted as the lights approached, and she knew she was in love.

For the girl who's strawberry sweet demeanor is only a mask for the rebel within. Picnic time is sexy time.
